Our team works from home offices all over New Zealand, which means most of us have a colleague who turns up to every meeting, contributes nothing, and still expects a treat at 3pm. Meet the pets who keep us company while we keep your role running.
Luna
Black Lab

How would you describe your pet's personality:
Luna is a Lunatic, an absolute crazeball! She has the most wonderful big long ears (that are just for show)
What do they like and dislike:
Luna LOVES lollies, her favorite is Milk Bottles. She hates to be shut out and will knock on the door with her nose until you let her in.
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
Either sunbathing wherever the sun is or sleeping on the couch
Any quirks or weird habits?
Loves jumping on the trampoline, digging holes she's not allowed to, playing with water and chasing her tail, and of course her favourite thing - Eating!
Anything else we should know?
Luna has many nicknames - Luna Petunia, Looney Toons, Lunatic, Dumbo, Big Ears, Loons, Looney Patoon
Casper
Ragdoll
Owner: Teesha
How would you describe your pet's personality:
Codependent, clingy guy and honestly a huge scaredy cat. Beautiful but there's not much going on behind those eyes.
What do they like and dislike:
Loves catnip, RAW CHICKEN, his window hammock and bird watching, cardboard boxes, sleeping on Mum's pillow + computer chair, and belly rubs (Also sending Kathryn secret messages). Dislikes being apart from mother. Doesn't like other animals and is also v scared of children. HATES going to bed without treats.
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
Somewhere nearby supervising
Any quirks or weird habits?
A VERY talkative boy if we're nearby but out of his reach. Loves to pull out individual cat biscuits from his bowl and chew them up on the carpet so there's crumbs everywhere. And REFUSES to look at himself in the mirror.

How would you describe your pet's personality:
Clingy, big fluffy lovable Goof-ball, who wouldn't hurt a fly, loves a tummy rub and a head scratch
What do they like and dislike:
Playing tug of war with a rope (absolute fav) and likes carrots as treats. Loves to bark at cats, but I don't think he dislikes them he is probably inviting them over to play ha ha
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
Under my desk napping or on a hot day he likes the cold tiles of the bathroom or kitchen floor
Any quirks or weird habits?
He thinks everyone who comes to front door is there to visit him and needs to introduce himself by licking them from head to toe

How would you describe your pet's personality:
a ball of energy - very vocal and a shadow
What do they like and dislike:
Bru loves sticks, picking flowers on walks and sleeping on top of people, hates being alone

On my lap

Bru is a regular at the Savvy office in Upper Hutt!

How would you describe your pet's personality:
Crazy
What do they like and dislike:
loves food but not biscuits, HAS to be proper meat, and the only time he will pretend to like you is if he wants food. Dislikes any form of affection; however, will still force it on him. Loves chasing you down the hallway, standing on the keyboard, any boxes and his bean bag.
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
laying in the sun somewhere
Anything else we should know?
The day I brought him, he sucked us in, but being super cuddly, not knowing that morning he got his head stuck at the top of the cage, which makes more sense why the spca staff were wishing us luck as we left.
Bowie
Blue Heeler

How would you describe your pet's personality:
Bowie is the master of the 'locked in' stare down, with a perfected whimper of a dying 80 year old woman, all to regain your attention should you have managed to pull your gaze away from his golden iris's.
He believes your 'couch/tv time' is his 'go' time and will proceed to remind you of this bringing you a multitude of play things from his wire box of goodies. If, by some miracle, you manage to resist his employs and you haven't already managed to locate his cow hoof (a Blue Heeler's cat nip) for him to toss over his head and nip in front of you, he'll for sure start on his blanket - attempting to unravel and destroy this luxury item you bought in your 20's thinking it might some day encase your newborn child and instead lays in his corner by his bed with chunks missing and bringing a new meaning to 'coveted'.
He's a motivator, a lover, and the second child I didn't know I needed.
What do they like and dislike:
Runs with Dad, Pooched walks, liking his brother's yoghurt off his face (almost as much as his brother likes it) and cow's/mum's hooves.
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
At my feet
Any quirks or weird habits?
Literally flicking his cow hoof up into the air and over his head - he looks like a puppy again whenever he plays with it.
Anything else we should know?
He's hard work, but like most good things in life, if it ain't a bit of hard work, it probably ain't worth it.
Winston

How would you describe your pet's personality:
A big baby! He's a total princess that doesn't realise he's a dog, not a human.
What do they like and dislike:
He loves sleeping on top of a giant pile of pillows, hiding under our bed (it's a tight fit!), and curling up in bed with us on a Saturday morning. He hates getting his feet wet, the vacuum cleaner, and vegetables.
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
Asleep on one of the beds in our house, or patrolling the backyard.
Any quirks or weird habits?
He will always greet us at the door with an item of clothing in his mouth, and likes to stand up like a meerkat to get pats

How would you describe your pet's personality:
Goofy, and full of love!
What do they like and dislike:
He loves eating raw broccoli, sleeping on my feet, standing in the rain and barking at cats, and hates being told no 😂
Where are they usually on days you're working from home?
At my feet, or lazing around outside in the sun.
Any quirks or weird habits?
He spins in very very fast circles when he's excited, and knows where all of his dog friends live on our walking route - he announces to them when he's walking past their houses!
